Burnout Is More Than A Buzzword
I'm a member of Ellevate and I can't say enough about this global organization.
If you're a female leader, and you're looking for a safe space to share, learn and grow... just reply to this email and I'll connect you to our next event. I’d love to introduce you to other great women.
At Ellevate, we have a virtual coffee chat every first Friday of the month, earlier this month, I presented on the topic of burnout.
Before you say... "Enough already about BURNOUT, LISA! I don't have time to fix it. Just suck it up and soldier on, sister!!"
I say, HOLD UP! You may not have the luxury to just soldier on.
I thought I could push through anything and kept burning it at both ends, believing that I would get to the other side unscathed.
That was until I lost my 20 year marriage and I was diagnosed with a stroke.
Yup!
It took losing my marriage and my health, for me to learn that the body decides when enough is enough.
Since I've learned how to heal my own burnout, I've been compelled to share those strategies with other women.
I'm sure you've heard all about the many things we should be doing to prevent burnout... and quite honestly I don't agree with many of those suggestions.
I don't want you to believe the lie that you have to DO anything to fix your burnout.
Here's a few highlights from my recent presentation that I hope will offer you some hope:
* Burnout is NOT your fault. The behaviors that brought you success in school aren't the behaviors that will lead to a long, healthy life.
* If you're burned out, there's nothing wrong with you. However, in order to heal, consider a new, more sustainable approach to life.
* You have the power to manage your input, energy and pace. Use the PAUSE.
Burnout isn't just a buzzword.
It's serious stuff and it's the common denominator in a multitude of losses.
When you're burned out, chances are your relationships aren’t going well, and your health is tanking, too.
When you're burned out you're not performing your best at work, putting your job at risk.
Here's what I want you to believe:
Running on empty doesn't have to be the norm.
Please email me, lisa@livingfullybalanced.com, if you’d like to set up a private conversation. There's too much at stake to blow this off.
You can learn a SUSTAINABLE, MORE POWERFUL way to approach how you live and lead, while you still have the time.
Let's heal your energy crisis together,
Lisa
P.S. You can also schedule a Beyond Burnout Kickstart and begin to heal your burnout as quickly as possible.
