Can you really buy time?
If I could point to the ONE THING every woman I talk to wants… it’s more time!
OUR CALENDARS are full and our patience is thin.
If you have a job outside of the home, you know that meetings have overtaken everyone’s schedule: things are moving fast and we have to stay aligned and connected.
But how much faster could things move if we didn’t have to listen to hours and hours of “keep you in the loop” messages?
And if you’re not getting paid outside of the home, your calendar is still being hijacked by everyone else’s needs.
The truth is, if you don’t intentionally manage your calendar …. Your calendar owns your life!!!
And here’s another reality check:
A busy calendar is not the measure of a full life.
If you want something different, you need to try something different.
That’s the cool thing about life design. You get to be the designer of your days.
Would you be willing to try a new approach, just for this week?
Here are some options to buy back time.
Block 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the evening… just for you!
Set an alarm on your watch to remind you to “Take 5” in the middle of the day.
Go to the restroom… and just sit. Breathe. Take a beat. (No one’s watching the clock as you pee, btw.
Take 20 minutes on Sunday night and ruthlessly prune your schedule. Delegate what you can. Delete as much as possible.
Decline every meeting scheduled over lunch, and actually EAT YOUR LUNCH.
Decline 20% of meetings on Sunday night: Review your calendar on Sunday night, prioritize meetings, and decline 20%. Don’t replace these meetings with anything… but time.
So, how does that feel?
Pretty risky?
You’re not alone.
And yet, YOU ARE THE OWNER OF YOUR LIFE!!!
The quality of your life comes down to just two things…
…How you spend your time and
…How you spend your energy.
Now, get out there and reclaim both!!
Energy vampires and time suckers are real.
AND you don’t have to let them rob the quality of YOUR LIFE.
I'm here when you're ready for a solid process to buy yourself time and control your calendar. You can schedule some time with me here.
Hugs,
Lisa
